Honorary Aide-de-camp

Usually, the Lieutenant Governor is accompanied by an Aide-de-Camp in the exercise of his official duties. The term «honorary» means that the Aide-de-Camp works as a volunteer. The latter is not only present during an official event but also works closely with the organisers on preparations of the event. 

The Aides-de-Camp are officers of the military forces, police forces, fire protection officers, ambulances services and the St. John Ambulance Brigade.
