Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Exceptional Merit

The Lieutenant Governor awards this medal in recognition of the outstanding achievements of an individual or organization. Candidates are selected on the basis of the values of the Lieutenant Governor in the causes he or she supports.

Every year the Lieutenant Governor identifies one or more areas of endeavour he or she intends to favour. The Lieutenant Governor consults his or her advisers and then announces the recipients.
